Because, their ancesters were the african and middle-eastern slaves and immigrants. And, the same thing happened in southern italy and afganistan. I have even seen greeks with afros like african-americans and look like persians and puerto-ricans. 2,000 years of invasions;militarily or immigrantions has left them looking like the people came in hundreds of years ago.
