I’ve read some good books on introductory topics of philosophy by A.C.Grayling so you may try his “Philosophy: A Guide Through the Subject” or “Philosophy: Further Through the Subject” for your students.

Bertrand Russell’s “History of Western Philosophy” is still the best.
“i know that i do not know.”
I don’t believe you’re a philosophy teacher. A real teacher would not write in IM. I hope to God that you instruct your students how to use proper English. And what do you mean — “new age”? There is no such thing as New Age philosophy. I highly doubt that you received an MA or PhD. from an accredited university. As any philosophy teacher knows, there are two sorts of philosophy textbooks. There are books that are historical, containing selections from writers from the Greeks to the present. And there are books that are focussed on problems — e.g, personal identity, knowledge, the existence of god, etc. If you have been using a textbook of one of those kinds, perhaps you might try the other. If you would like examples of textbooks of these kinds, simply go to your nearest university library and flip through a couple dozen intro books.
