    I think he’s a rather normal guy O.o
Aside from the fact he’s got an incredible range of skills, but there’s nothing ‘odd’ about him in reality O.o

  2. adx1rulez says:

It just shows that apart from the casino owner, all other big winners get banned. The old saying lives true

  3. marciniscool says:

of course it’s the casino’s choice, but thats like me saying “i’ll give you $100 to read this comment, but if you’re literate then you’re no longer eligible”

that’s great but Can you reveal? someone’s PIN number just by looking into his eyes?…
    The explaination: licciupapa.interfree(dot)it/invisible_touch.htm

He memorized a whole webster’s dictionary in 20 minutes… How could he be fairly normal.

  8. tnguyen603 says:

this is fabricated…. there is no way u can say that is SKILL when it all relies on LUCK…. a lucky bastard wins 3 hands in a row… says that he Count Cards and PREDICTS outcome.. “Statistically Favored, BUT not winning the GAME at WILL”

  9. guruwUrU says:

Because it’s entirely the casino’s choice who they let into their building.

  10. Lohengrin888 says:

If they didn’t every casino in the world would be bankrupt, and no one would get to play.

  11. soccerz619 says:

I hate that casinos do that. I mean, if they spend all that time trying to do stuff like that, they should be allowed to do it and let the people who don’t just sit there and pay out to the casino. I agree with you.

  12. Clouston001 says:

how can they ban someone from a casino for having a brilliant memory and real skill at a game? lol

  13. twizy123 says:

so if they dont want u to do it y dont they deal them face down and show at the end?

  14. arkalai says:

I see… as in cockney slang..?

I thought it was meant to be PHONY, which would make a lot more sense

  15. jazzx251 says:

At the football match: a player keeps missing the goal – “that was another pony shot!”

At the cinema: “that film was pony!”

A fair substitute would be “pants!”

  16. arkalai says:

Why would you say something is pony, eh?

  17. jazzx251 says:

No I do mean “pony”! :)

You’re quite right danielle – the dealer would have won. But the odds of Derren going bust were very high, leaving it to the dealer to face those odds is the correct move. Just like Derren here, the dealer would have been very lucky not to bust.

  18. arkalai says:

    “That was PONY”?

    Your typing error amuses me.

  20. danielle850 says:

Jazzx251. If he hadn’t taken the card on 16 the dealer would have won.

  21. jazzx251 says:

    That was pony.

Basic strategy says you shouldn’t draw to 16 when the dealer shows a weak card (6 in the first case) – not enough of the shoe was dealt for him to go against that. Over 2 decks were left – and he’s saying the odds favour a 5 or less? Wrong – only 40/104 of the available cards in the most extreme circumstance would be under 6.

On the last hand, he winces about doubling on 11 when the dealer shows 5!! Again, not enough of the shoe is gone to contradict basic strategy.

  22. callumevans324 says:

I don’t believe he has an astounding memory as such – he’s a fairly normal guy I believe – but the techniques he uses are very clever indeed >.>

So, I wouldn’t say he ‘literally’ has a memory like that, but he may as well have :P

  23. Melpheos1er says:

i agree, so the point it to know if the added % makes a real difference…

  24. sallyesq says:

yes i know, but card counting tells you the same, and gives you a very similar edge

  25. Melpheos1er says:

not to that point because he knows exactly what are the odds for each card to be drawn.

Let says near the end of the deck with a deep deck penetration casino he has a 16 and he knows that there is mainly 2-3-4-5 remaining, he can drawn without much risk
