I am going to school and I am planning on getting a degree on Elementary Education but I also am Interested in Philosophy.

It depends on what you mean by worth (see what I did there?). If you mean can you use that degree for anything, probably not unless you want to teach philosophy. But if you’re really lucky, there’s a chance you could learn something useful. But don’t count on it.

I was once told that if you get a degree in philosophy it is only worth it if you want to teach it. If this is your passion dont let anyone stop you. I personally switched to psychology because i love the mind and it is as close to philosophy as I can get and still make some scratch
Well philosophy has a lot of different cateogores in it right? I mean, you have the Greek way of thinking, Chinese and even political. It’s a pretty interesting topic in my opinion and if you feel you’re up for it. Go and do it :D
